So this is the last post that i have to do for the year. It hasnt been to bad even though i have complained about having to do these before. Though it wouldnt have been that bad if i had just done them on time. Its ok though im glad we got to do these maybe it really will help me with my writing. All in all i wish i had done these on time and i wouldnt have to be rushing to write something like i am right now.
This semester has been a good year so far. I should end up with an A in the english class and if not an A a high B. Its been a while since ive done that good in a class and im excited to see that B when i check my final grades. If i get the grades i am expecting to get in my other classes i should end up with at least a 2.4 gpa for the end of the year. Thats pretty good in my book when alot of freshman dont even make it out there first year. Finals
I never thought college could be so hard till i actually got to college. My high school did not even prepare me for what was to come in my life. In High school they say its to prepare you for college well mine was a joke when it came to that. Now that im college it has opened my eyes to a new way of studying and applying myself. In high school i NEVER had to study for a test and i would still make like 95's.
Though now im in college with FINALS coming up. I hate finals its the most stress i have ever had to deal with up to this point in my life. I have one final on May 1st which is my English test and that shouldnt be to bad. Though on May 5th i have 3 tests and all are the classes that you have to study alot for. At 8-10:30 i have my biology test. Then from about 11-1:30 i have my history test. Then later that night i have my Comm test from 8-10:30 pm. Ya that is a late test. Though i hope i do good wish me luck.

Alittle About my Past
I went to Sinton High School in Sinton Texas. The school i went to was a 3a school with about 600 students. We arent very big but also at the same time not that small either. However, i was an athlete i loved sports. I played football, basketball, and i ran track. I was on varsity for all three sports since my sophomore year. My favorite sport which is football is the sport i planned on playing in colllege. I had planned to play in college and had some college coaches call me my junior year though i got hurt my senior year and the calls stopped. Ya it was kind of hard at first but i got over it. Though sports is not all i was about in High School.
I also tried very hard in school. I was #4 in my class out of about 150 and finished my high school career with about a 3.9 gpa. I wanted to go to Texas State because it was not to far yet not to close to home which i like because driving all the way back is not that bad of a drive. Though thats alittle about me.

My Day
well today was just like any other tuesday or thursday. I woke up at about 10:30 to go to english class. That class is the reason why i have to write these blogs. Then during class we didnt do much just talked about finals and even these blogs. I think the final will be easy at least hopefully.
Then after class i went straight back to my dorm to get ready to go home for the weekend. I went home this weeked so that i could take some stuff back home so that i dont have to take to many things on one day when its time to move out for the year. Well i live in Sinton which is about 30 min away from corpus christi and it is about 2:30 hours away from san marcos. Well that was my day really exciting i know.

Cowboys
Now the cowboys have been in the news as of late for the deal they have been trying to make with the Titans. Im not sure what i think about this trade especially the player that they are trying to aquire. Ya its Pacman Jones. Sure he is a great cornerback and could give the cowboys secondary just that much of an edge. Though the cowboys seem to be over looking the pro bowl cornerback that they already have. If they arent careful they could lose him he only has one more year left on his contract. Though pacman jones is a great cornerback and return man.
However the cowboys have made a trade for a guy that hasnt even been reinstated yet. What happens if the NFL doesnt even re instate him then they will be out having to look for another cornerback. This guy is a problem not in disguise an obvious problem. Sure he might be good for one year maybe even two though once his name is out of the news he is gonna go back to his old way. Denver vs. LA
Right now the denver nuggets are playing the los angeles lakers. The first quarter just ended and it is already a good game. These two teams are both on a mission they have been underdogs all year. Even though the lakers the number one seed they are underestimated because no one thinks kobe can lead a team to the finals without shaq and also no one believes that the tandum of AI and carmelo anthony can co exist due to wanting to score. Though so far they have.
It will be interesting as to how this game will turn out especially since kobe has gotten what hes wanted the last few years in a dominant big man. I think his name is gasoul (sp) and this man is a beast under the basket. Though no one expects much and i guess only time will tell how this series will go.

GAME 2 SPURS vs. SUNS
So game two was tonight against these two power house basketball teams. These two teams have been going at it pretty strongly the last few years and there is no stopping in sight. Tonights game was kind of like the first game just alittle less with the excitment. I actually watched most of the game tonight instead of just the end. It is amazing at how well the Spurs work as a team and know where each person will be.
Though now the series goes to Phoenix where the Suns will surely not go down without a fight. They need to win the next two games to have a chance and everyone knows that it is easier to win at home than it is on the road and the Suns have taken these last two games in SA down to the wire. So hopefully the spurs can hurry up and end this series and get ready to play the next series.

First Draft Pick
Today the First draft pick was announced for the 2008 draft before the draft even occurs on saturday. The Miami Dolphins had the first pick and they used it to pick an Offensive Lineman. They picked Jake Long from the Michigan Wolverines. He will make 30million dollars guaranteed money over a 5 year contract. Wow that is alot of money just to play a game.
Though i think the Dolphins and Parcells made a smart pick going to rebuild their OL it kind of takes all the excitment away with them signing him 4 days early. Usually many people watch the Draft mainly to see who the first pick will be even though they pretty much know its not usually a guaranteed sign. Spurs Vs. Suns
this post is for the game that was played saturday afternoon. I saw that the game was on during the day but then totally forgot about it because i usually dont watch basketball playoffs unless i really have nothing else to do or well thats pretty much it until the NBA finals. I just dont find the NBA playoffs very interesting.
Though that night was one of the best games id ever seen. Granted i only watched the overtimes. Thats fine because it was the most exciting to me anyways and NBA basketball games can get boring and slow. Though these last two overtimes were very exciting and gut wrenching and im happy that the spurs came out of it with a win especially since they had been down pretty much the whole game.

Gas Prices
WOW gas is insanely crazy right now. just a week ago in my home town gas was 3.16 and in about a week and a half it jumped to 3.43 that is just insane at that much of a spike. What even makes it worse is that i drive a truck and now the way gas is it will take me about 80 bucks to completely fill up. That is just insane. A year ago gas was what about 2.69 and we were complaining i would kill to have gas back at that price.
The worst thing though is that it is only gonna get worse before it gets better. Gas is expected to hit 4 dollars during the summer. That is just insanely crazy. I dont even know how some people will be able to afford gas anymore. Im lucky enough to have a good amount of money saved up from my summer job but what about those people that cant afford it. Gas is insane something needs to be done.

Parking
So im sure im not the only one that thinks this but finding parking at the square is one of the hardest things to do. There is no parking at all at any of the places on the square. It sucks when you have to drive around forever just to find a parking space. It especially sucks when you have to meet your teacher for a meeting and cant find a spot.
Today i had to meet my Comm teacher for a meeting to go over my outline for my speech that i have to present next monday. DUMB BLOGS
anybody else hate these blogs? It wouldnt be so bad if we HAD to do one or two a week i know thats kind of what she told us but i wish it would have been more enforced to do them weekly so that i wouldnt have forgotten. Or if not that way just not have done them at all. These blogs are pointless i dont think im gonna become a much better writer because i type out a blog.
However these blogs are a grade so i will do them and as many as them as possible before the deadline. I really could use an A in this class and i hope doing these blogs will help me get that A. Though i dont like them im gonna do them anyways i just wish it would have been easier to remember to do them earlier in the year. We only have about 4 more days to do them and i need 10 more. O well im sure im not the only one in this boat.

UFC FIGHT
Did anyone watch the ufc fights last night on paper view? well i did and i warn you now im not very good with names when it comes to ufc i just watch for the action and not for the die hard worthyness some people show to ufc. However the fights over all werent as exciting as i had hoped. The main even matt serra vs st pierre (spelling) was a pretty exciting fight. Matt Serra didnt really look that good in the fight he was pretty beat up afterwards
Though the most exciting fight to me was the one with the red head fighter. Man that guy was tough as nails. His eye was pretty much split in half and he fought like a warrior. If you noticed when they showed him close up after the fight his eye would gush out blood with pretty much every heart beat. Even though he lost that guy fought hard. That fight was the most exciting throughout the night in my opinion

LOST
Another show that i enjoy to watch is LOST. If anyone has seen this show they know its a very confusing show if you havent seen every episode. Its really cool how they can tie each and every show to the next episode. So if you want to start watching this show make sure you start from the beginning.
But this show is about a plane that has crashed on an island that no one knows about until finally the survivors find out there is a community that lives on the island in their own little world. There is a long background to this story and its hard to explain in detail. Though im just excited that a new episode finally comes on next thursday. There hasnt been a new episode for about a month because of the whole writers strike. Though it starts up again on i think the 24th so whoo hoo. However, if anyone wants to watch this show all you need is a lap top and you can watch all the episodes on the ABC website they have all the full episodes there.

TAPS
Any body watch the show TAPS on Sci-Fi? It comes on during wednesday nights from around 7-10. well if you dont here is a brief explanation of the show. Its a paranormal show where a group of people go to supossedly haunted sites or where the owners believe there place of property is being haunted by something supernatural. Well they dont try to find ghosts they try to disprove the haunting before anything else. Though if they find enough evidence to point to a haunting they will label a place as officialy haunted. Now take their word for what you like but some of the stuff they find is pretty interesting.
Well tonight they went to a very famous hotel where queens and presidents and kings have stayed and there a princess died while asleep in one of the rooms beds. Well the room is supossedly supossed to be haunted by the once princess. Well what they caught was EVP (electronic voice phenomenom) and it was pretty clear that it was a woman speaking and it was kind of creepy. Well thats just a brief explanation and evidence of the show if you are interested feel free to watch if your not then o well thats your choice.

Procrastination
Well i think every knows what procrastination is and those of you that dont well then your really good students. But ya procrastination is when someone just cant seem to do their work or what they intended to do in the first place because they keep finding other things to do. Dont you just hate that God gave humans the power of procrastination. Man i am so bad at this because i never do my work until the last moment.

Call of Duty 4
So i just got done playing some Call of Duty 4. This has got to be the greatest game ever made. This game is so realistic and the graphics are awesome. Though i would never want to be in a real warzone this is the next best step. The stage i love the most is the one where you are in gun plane and you get to shoot using the three different guns using your night vision.
I just got done beating the 2nd hardest step which i cant recall what it is. Now i am gonna be trying my best to beat what i think would be called the veteran stage. I barely beat the one below it so my guess is that its gonna take me some time to beat. Though i can never get tired of this game to bad i dont have a 360 of my own i have to use my roommates and sometimes i have to wait to play.

My Day
Today was just any other day. Woke up for my 8 oclock class at about 7:15 and waking up that early has to be one of the hardest things i ever have to do. I cant wait for this semester to be over so i dont have to wake up so early anymore. After that class had my history class at 11 and taht class is alittle more exciting than my bio class but still pretty boring.
Then after that i came back to my dorm to relax and take a nap. I love naps its the best feeling ever when you wake up. Though on mondays it sucks because i have my comm class from 6:30-9:15. Though good thing is that i got my speech grade back and i made an 82 whoo hoo...Though ya that is my day not very exciting but its what i deal with.

Just a Boring Day
Today has just been another day. Nothing special about it just any other day where you do nothing. Today was one of those days that you just sit around your dorm and try to find things to do because it has been so boring. Whether it be to watch tv all day or clean up around your room, or even to get your lazy butt up and wash clothes. Though taking out the trash is usually the last thing ill do. Just because i live on the 5th floor and just dont really feel like going all the way down to the trash can.
Though im sure this blog has been pretty boring, and it should be because thats how my day has been so far just boring and plain. Though im not gonna complain to much because i much rather be sitting around and not having to worry about anything than have to worry about studying for my next test.

Prom Night the Movie
Warning: This may contain spoilers for some who have not seen movie yet. Just a heads up
So i went to see the movie prom night tonight and i thought it was ok. The movie wasnt really anything special as the advertisments have been making it out to be. Though it wasnt as good as i thought it still was a good movie. However the movie is quite predictable as you watch. Its the typical psycho killer movie who will do anything to get what he wants and at the end ends up losing all he killed for. Another movie where 9 or 10 people die for no reason when the killer ends up losing anyways. Though, because it was not a great movie it is still an enternaining movit to go see. I recommend only seeing this movie if you are bored and have nothing else to do. Dont waste your money at the movie theater unless one you have nothing to do or two you dont feel like waiting for it to come out on dvd. Well thats a quick review on the movie thanks for reading...

Memphis vs. Kansas
Wow what a game last night in the national championship between Kansas and Memphis. Though i did not get to see most of the game because i have a night class that lasts till about 9:15 i did get to see most of the second half. Memphis came out firing on all cylinders until about the last 3 min of the game and they just kind of fell apart.
Memphis coach Calipari had prided himself and his team all year long on not NEEDING freethrows to win a game because they were just that good. Well tonight it came back to bite him in the @$$. Memphis needed freethrows to win and their top two players couldnt hit them. They missed 3 free throws in a matter of about 30seconds to pretty much lose the game for them. Granted Rose was a freshman but still he is an awesome player and should have hit those freethrows. However that shot that Kansas hit to take the game into overtime was a miraculous shot to send the game into overtime.
When the game went to overtime Memphis could not answer for anything that Kansas would throw at them. Memphis had lost all their momentum and turned ice cold. But, Memphis did have a great year but i guess like the patriots it means nothing unless you win it all. Comgrats to Kansas on their win and the new National Champions.

For the most part it started out as a pretty stressful and nervous day. Mostly because i was gonna get two test scores back, on in my biology class and another in my history class. So i was pretty nervous about getting those test grades back. Then later that day i had a speech that i had to give so obviously as most people i was also nervous about my presentation.
However, it turned out to be a great day because in my Bio. class i made a 72 on my test, you may be thinking well thats not that great and nothing to be excited about, but i am because it is my first good grade in that class. Also, in my history class i got the test back and saw that i had made an 84 which made the day just that much better. Though after i got these tests back i realized that i still had my speech to give and it kind of shot down all the goodness in my grades. Then later that night i gave my speech and after i felt pretty good about how i delieverd it. I wasnt as nervous as i thought i would be and also i think i gave a good delivery.

Today was like any other i woke up at 7:16, ya i know weird time, and then got dressed and made my way to class. My first class was biology which went well, no problems at all. Then after that i decided to go get my permit for my new truch that i got for christmas (07 Chevey Silverado) and remembered i couldnt because i didnt remember the license plater number. Well i have to go all the way back to my dorm in Blanco and go get my licensce plate number and to my dismay there is an orange envelope on my windshield. Yup, i got a ticket for not having a permit. Well i figured now i have another reason to go the the permit office, to pay off my ticket.
Well when i get to the office lucky enough since this was my first ticket i got it voided and didnt have to pay the $35 fine that comes with a ticket. Well after i got my permit i then headed off to my History class in the ALK building. After that my dad just went on like any other. I went to eat then i went back to my dorm to do some reading and then take a nap. When i woke up i decided to go work out at the Rec. and lift some weights. Then now here I am posting my blog.
